MemStick related presentations will be given at the Neuroscience 2008 conference, the 38th annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience, which is scheduled for Nov. 15 - 19 in Washington, DC. MemStick partners will also take the opportunity for a consortium meeting. 

MemStick was presented by an article in the Swiss Newspaper 24 Heures.

Un collage de synapses "Memstick": ce projet européen dirigé depuis l'EPFL par Carmen Sandi, professeure au Brain Mind Institute vise a comprendre comment les cellules synaptiques communiquent entre elles. "Cela permettra peut-être aussi de découvrir ce qui, au niveau moléculaire, explique les pertes de mémoire qui caractérisent la maladie d'Alzheimer", peut-on lire dans "24 Heures". Ces découvertes pourraient ensuite ouvrir la voie à des médicaments à base peptidique pour combattre les pertes de mémoire.

The FENS 2008 Satellite Symposium, organised by the Memstick coordinator Carmen Sandi, will probably be the most important Neuronal Cell Adhesion Molecules event of the Year! This Satellite meeting will shed new light on the mechanisms underlying neuronal cell-cell adhesion molecules. It focuses on the molecular and cellular events regulating these processes and their implications for human diseases and brain repair.
